Ritual Homage Before starting a bout, the boxers will perform traditional pre-boxing dance to pay ritual homage.
Objectives
1. To lessen the excitement and stress before starting the bout
2. To build up concentration and morale support
3. To survey the ring floor
4. To find the weak points of the opponent
5. To greet and threaten the opponent
6. To stretch and warm up the body
7. To be more enthusiastic
Music
The ritual homage and dancing will start with the traditional music traced back to the Ayutthaya period. The performance has been influenced by the Indian culture using the following musical instruments.1. Cymbals2. Javanese oboe3. Male Indian drum4. Female Indian drumThe song generally played during the dancing is Sarahma whereas the one played during the fight is Khaek Chao Sen.

1.Stand still to concentrate before to move up on the stage - Stand upright

2.Kneel down with the back of the right foot on thesole of the left one. Put the hands on both thighs as shown in the picture.Then put the hand together at the chest or "wai" in Thai in the style called "Theppanom" Lower the left hand onto the floor slowly and then followed with the right one in the same manner.Keep both hands spread slightly apart on thefloor and bend the head down on them for 3 rounds

Move the tip of right hand in clockwise circle on the floor 3 rounds as if writing down letters to respect goddess of the earth and move your right hand in clock on your hand 3 rounds. To protect you before fight .

Stand with both feet close to each other and put the hands together at the breast (wai). And step forward by your left foot, but except the first of stairs.

Then open the left air passage look up and close the left nostril with the left thump. Take a deep breath.And then open the right air passage look up and close the right nostril with the right thump. Take a deep breath

Extend both hands out on each side and move them up and down like moving wings of a bird.

Bend the body to the front with both knees on the ground and lift the left heel up for 3 times. And then turn the face to the left to look at the sole and stay in this posture for 10 seconds.

Draw your body back to have the back upright. Sit in the posture as shown in the picture and clench both hands while moving them around each other for 3 rounds. Then stop and look up to the sky.

Place both palms in the posture as shown in t he picture and turn them around for 3 rounds

Stand in the posture of paying respect to Thepnimitre as shown in the picture.

Keep the left foot on the ground while turning both hands around for 3 rounds and lifting the right knee to the waist. Place the right hand on the lifted right knee and put the left hand on the forehead with the palm turning out.
